By Land from Calcutta.
Other entry to Bhutan is by land from Calcutta and
Siliguri in India and Katmandu in Nepal via
Phuntsholing, the commercial center in south sharing
border with Indian state of Bengal.

A Route to Thimphu
The route to Thimphu leads through valleys,
rivers and ridges of 65kms from Paro approximately 2
hours drive by bus.

Wangdiphodrang
It is in the east & 70kms drive from the
capital. The route passes across Dochula pass

hillside above the Gamri Chu (River), was once the
center for a busy trade with Tibet.

Situated in a small river valley, it is a lovely
spot from which to take walks in the surrounding
countryside, the dzong overlooking the town.
