Winter Trek 9days 8nights
Season: it is possible to do this low altitude
trek through the winter season.
Arrive Paro
Day1. On arrival at Paro Airport, you will be
meeting by you Bhutan Men-Lha Adventures and
Travelers representative, and transfer to Hotel in
Paro. Afternoon Leisure O/N hotel in Paro.
Paro Thimphu
Day2. Drive to Thimphu en route visit Tamchog
Lhankhang, lunch in Thimphu, the Capital city of the
Country. After lunch visit Painting school, National
Library, Folk heritage museum and Thimphu Dzong. O/N
at hotel in Thimphu
Thimphu Punakha
Day3. Drive to Bhutans former capital Punakha,
stopping briefly en route at Dochula Pass(3140m) to
enjoy a panoramic views of snow capped eastern
Himalayan peaks. Continue drive to Punakha and visit
Punakha Dzong, built in 1637, second oldest Dzong in
the Bhutan. After lunch take a short hike to visit
Chimi Lhakhang located on the lock hill. O/N hotel
in Punakha.
Punakha to Limukha
Day4. We cross the suspension bridge over the river
by Punakha dzong and walk up to Shegana. Our trek
begins from there with a gradual climb up through
Chirpine forest to Limukha, visiting Dompala village
en route. Camp near limukha village at about
(1,800m).
Walking distance: 14km, 6hours.
Limukha Chungsakha
Day5. The trail takes us downhill through
Rhododendron and oak forested areas. En route we
visit a famous temple used as a winter residence by
Lama Druk pa Kuenley in the 15th century. Camp near
Chungsakha village.
Walking distance: 15kms, 6hours.
Chungsakha Samtengang.
Day6. The trail leads us down and across Pe-chu
river, then up the hillside to sha village is the
sha region of Wangduephodrang district. We continue
on upwards and camp by the lakeside at samtengang.
Walking distance: 13kms, 5hours.
Samtengang Wangduephodrang.
Day7. We follow the trail downhill to the motor road
near Chuzomsa, where we will meet the Transportation
and transferred to Wangduephodrang. After Lunch
continue drive to Paro and O/N hotel in Paro.
Walking distance: 6kms, 3hours.
Driving Distance: 4-5hours.
Paro Hike to Taktshang Monastery Hike
Day8. One full day Taktshang Monastery Hike, this is
one of the most scared religious sites in the
country. This monastery is built on the cliff above
the paro valley with (700m). This site is founded by
the Precious master in the 8th century and built in
1692. later in 1998 it was seriously damage by the
fire and renovated. It is 5hour hike. You can also
spend one whole day visiting near by monastery in
this area.

Paro Depart.
Day9. Early breakfast drive to Paro Airport for your
flight to onwards destination.

of US$30 per person per day for two people & US$40
