Pilgrimage Tours
You don’t necessarily have to be a Buddhist to take a
pilgrimage to Bhutan. Pilgrimage means seeking peace and
happiness in a peaceful and quiet environment and to be in
touch with the gods above.
Buddhism aside, the Bhutanese have always believed that
human life is part of the environment. Any imbalance in
nature causes imbalance in the mental and physical
well-being of the human beings. That is why, we have in
Bhutan a well maintained environment with so many
monasteries and temples all over. Visit them and you will
find that you are part of a greater being and that material
comfort is just a temporary bliss. It is like a dew drop on
a blade of leaf that vanishes momentarily. You will
experience things, you have never even dreamt of.
There is ‘Taktshang Monastery’ built in the 8th century,
hanging on the face of a cliff. Seeing and visiting it will
make you feel that it was not built by human hands. Listen
to the stories associated with it and it will tell you how
great people in the past have devoted their life for the
betterment of the human society.
Go further to the central valley of Bhutan and there you
will see the naked dance. For those, who do not understand
it will laugh at such a performance. Delve deeper into its
meaning and it will transform all of your conditioned
thoughts and make you a better person.
Not less surprising will be a visit to ‘Kurje Monastery’.
You will find there how the Buddhist masters have left their
bodily imprints on rocks through spiritual practices. Make a
wish at the monastery and you will see it fulfilled, making
you think beyond scientific explanations.

conceived? Please spend a night at ‘Chimi Lhakhang’ and pray
for either a son or daughter. You will be blessed with one
on your reaching home.
